Fresh flowers don’t need an occasion. I love treating myself to a bouquet once a week—it’s such a simple, beautiful way to bring a little joy into everyday life. During blooming season here at Frost Farm, though, I skip the store and head straight to the garden.
There’s something incredibly rewarding about cutting my own roses and seeing them displayed in a vase on the kitchen counter. I’ll take any chance to proudly announce, “I grew those!” I put a lot of heart into my roses, and it means so much to enjoy their beauty indoors after caring for them outdoors.
Whether you simply toss them into a vase or take time to arrange them just so, there’s no wrong way to enjoy fresh flowers. I personally love both whimsical, loose arrangements and the elegance of a classic rose ball. One of my favorite finds is a fluted vase I got on Amazon—it’s become my go-to for holding a dozen garden roses, and it always makes the blooms shine.
